East Dunbartonshire Council Welfare rights

The former Welfare Rights Service operated by East Dunbartonshire Council has moved and is now located within the Citizens Advice Bureau in Kirkintilloch and provides free, confidential advice and assistance on a wide range of welfare benefits, including:

• Advice and information to claimants on complex benefit issues

• Advocacy and representation at the Appeals Service

• Targeted take up campaigns to promote the uptake of benefit

• Public information leaflets raising public awareness of benefits

• Talks and presentations to specific groups eg carers, older people, people with mental and physical disabilities children and homeless people.
